We are currently living in the age of electrification. As emissions restrictions increase and diesel-powered vehicles widely used, leading manufacturers in the trucking industry are paving the way toward electrification. As businesses progress toward these new technological trends, Papé Kenworth is proud to carry zero-emissions medium-duty trucks. Let’s take a look at Kenworth’s latest cutting edge innovations in technology.
Benefits of Going Electric
Before we explore the features of Kenworth’s electric-powered medium-duty trucks the K270E and K370E, let’s take a look at some of the benefits of transitioning your fleet toward electric-powered trucks:
- cut down on fuel consumption, resulting in cost savings and more environmental sustainability
- superior payload capacities, safety features, comfort, and ergonomic design
- less maintenance
- tax rebates (in some states, companies are eligible for tax rebates for going electric; learn more about these incentives and inquire about your state-specific rebate)
Kenworth K2720E / K370E Features
Restrictions on noise and fuel emissions are climbing, and many companies are already moving to state-of-the-art electric-powered trucks. We currently carry two different models of electric medium-duty trucks: Kenworth K270E Class 6 and K370E Class 7 battery-electric trucks, both known for their state-of-the-art electric powertrains and superior visibility, maneuverability, and driver comfort.
These zero emissions vehicles feature:
High-Density Battery Packs
Choose between 141kWh and 282kWH that deliver between a 100- to 200-mile range, with zero emissions.
Fast Charge
The Kenworth electric vehicles utilize a DC fast-charging system that can recharge the entire truck in as quick as one-hour. PACCAR Parts now offers electric vehicle charging stations to support the global rollout of electric vehicles, and these charging stations are all compatible with Kenworth electric trucks.
Torque & Power
Choose between two direct-drive motors (355 hp or 469 hp). Kenworth medium-duty electric-powered trucks have enough torque to start the load from a stop on a 20% grade. They also have the power to maintain 40 mph on a 6% grade while fully loaded.
